Vince Lombardi The Science and Art of Professional Football--a series of educational films

Here, for your edification, is an eight part educational film: Vince Lombardi's (H) (vincelombari.com) The Science and Art of Pro Football. Provenance of the film is unknown at this time, though it appears to have been produced some time in 1967 or 1968 by Holt, Rinehart, and Winston. These Youtube videos come from VHS tapes produced in 1988 (although only one condensed film is available in libraries at present). These films will tell you much about how Lombardi, as well as the game, worked in the 1960s,

Far be it from me to comment on these films. Lombardi, who won five NFL Championships in seven years, including three in a row from 1965-67, six Western Division championships in nine years with the Packers (and who was the offensive coordinator for the Giants from 1954-1958, when they won two Eastern Division championships and one NFL Championship), speaks for himself. Watch and marvel at the complexities of the inner game.

The videos are in about the condition you might expect from 1988 VHS tapes. However, don't let that stop you from enjoying them. It is unknown at this time if this is the entire series. If I find more I will add them here.

Each video is about 25 minutes long.
